“Stone and Chris and Chandler were outstanding movers. I’m going to use them again for my office move. Thanks again guys for making my holidays so joyful.”
I’m Wes Kuhlman, and Urbana is where Nu Day Moving cut its teeth. I grew up here and spent my U of I years hauling students in and out of the apartments off Green Street, so the east-campus grid, the older streets around Lincoln Square, and the historic near-campus blocks aren’t a mystery to my crew — they’re home turf.
Urbana throws two very different jobs at us. There’s the campus side, where dorms and rentals flip in a matter of days every May and August, and there’s the settled side: century-old homes near Downtown Urbana with the narrow staircases and porch stoops that come with the territory. We plan the truck spot before we ever ring your bell.
Whatever corner of Urbana you’re in, you get one flat number in writing before a single box leaves the house — pads, dollies, and shrink-wrap already folded in, and no hourly meter creeping up on you.
- East-campus and Green Street student rentals, plus PAR/FAR and Ikenberry dorm move-outs
- Historic homes around Lincoln Square and Downtown Urbana with tight stairwells
- Carle hospital-corridor relocations for staff, residents, and faculty
Most Urbana jobs run through our local moving crew. If you’re weighing a place just across the line, Savoy shares the same team and rate — and our full service list covers everything from apartments to the long haul.
